Your journal is processed on your device. We do not upload journal text, recordings, replies, or memories to our servers or to RevenueCat.
01 · Your journal and on-device AI
DayReply keeps entries, transcripts, replies, selected memories, preferences, and reflections in the app’s local storage. Audio is recorded when you start recording and processed locally for language detection and transcription. Drafts may retain their audio; the app cleans up the recording after you confirm and save its text.
Apple speech models and WhisperKit model files may need an initial download. Download services receive ordinary connection information needed to deliver those files. Journal text and audio are not uploaded as part of those downloads. Reply, memory, and reflection generation uses Apple’s on-device Foundation Models when supported and available. DayReply does not provide a developer-hosted journal account or automatic journal synchronization.
02 · Purchases and Premium access
Apple handles App Store payments. RevenueCat helps validate purchases, restore them, and determine whether Premium is active. This involves purchase and subscription history, product identifiers, transaction and renewal information, an anonymous app user identifier, and request information needed to provide the service, such as app/OS version and locale.
DayReply does not send journal content or set your name or email as RevenueCat customer attributes. We do not receive your complete payment-card details. Store records can continue to exist after you remove the app. Subscription-related data is used to operate subscriptions and support purchases, not to advertise to you across other apps.
03 · Permissions and your choices
- Microphone access lets you record an entry. You can deny it and write instead.
- If you enable app lock, Apple’s device-owner authentication checks Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. DayReply does not receive biometric templates or your passcode.
- Notifications are optional reminders that you configure. You can change permissions in iOS Settings.
04 · Exports and backups
Plain JSON exports are not encrypted. Encrypted backups are a separate option and may include journal entries, memories, preferences, exclusions, and reflections. You choose where exported files or backups are saved, including local Files folders or a cloud provider such as iCloud Drive.
Once a file is saved to a cloud provider or shared by you, that provider or recipient handles the copy under its own terms. App lock does not protect exported files. DayReply’s automatic backup replaces the latest backup while the app is open and unlocked; it is not real-time synchronization or version history. iOS device backups, where applicable, are controlled separately by your device settings.
05 · Contacting support
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include. We use it to answer your request and resolve support or privacy issues. Our support inbox uses Gmail. Please do not send full journals, recordings, passwords, backup passphrases, or private API keys. Contact: doublejstudio21@gmail.com.
06 · Visiting this website
This website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare can process network and request information, including IP addresses, requested URLs, and browser information, to deliver and protect the site. We do not add advertising trackers, visitor analytics, external fonts, or a contact form to this website. We do not set our own tracking cookies or use browser storage for tracking. Email links open your email app; they do not send a message automatically.
07 · Retention, deletion, and security
Local app content remains until you delete it or remove the app, subject to device settings and any separate copies you create. Deleted entries can remain in the app’s trash for 30 days, measured using the device clock; expired trash is removed when the app next performs cleanup. You can permanently delete trash earlier. Recordings already cleaned up after saving cannot be restored.
Support and subscription information is retained only as needed for its purpose and applicable obligations. Apple, RevenueCat, and other providers may retain records under their own policies. Deleting local content does not cancel a subscription or remove separate exported files. Use Apple subscription management to cancel and delete exported copies from their saved location.
DayReply uses iOS file protection and optional device-owner authentication; its separate encrypted-backup feature requires your passphrase. Keep your device and exported files secure. The developer cannot retrieve a local journal or recover a lost backup passphrase.
08 · Your rights and service providers
You can view, correct, export, and delete your local content in the app, and reset or exclude memories. Depending on the law where you live, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, or restriction of information held for support or subscriptions, and to contact your local data-protection authority. Email us to make a request; we may need limited information to verify and locate relevant records.
The app functions you request, subscription administration, support, and service security are the purposes of processing. We use permissions where required. Providers may process information outside your country. We do not sell your personal information or share it for targeted advertising. Provider-specific practices and retention are described here:
09 · Children and policy changes
DayReply is not specifically directed at children. If you believe a child has supplied personal information to our support service without appropriate permission, contact us so we can address it. This policy may change when the app or our services change; the effective date above will be updated.
10 · Privacy contact
